Happy New Year! May your 2021 be peaceful, prosperous and filled with blessings. Are you making plans and considering creative ways to win, going forward? As much as it’s inspiring to focus on a fresh start, there’s also a sense of collective challenges being carrying forward from last year. Do you feel that too? Kate Tremills, who I interviewed in my live stream series, shared welcome insight in her recent Venus Lessons message, which I highly recommend exploring!

She explained that we entered this year in the last phase of the moon, related to wrapping up and clearing out, so if you’re sensing a slow start, not to worry, you’re in rhythm with the cosmos. I found myself clearing my office and donating a load of books to a charity store. Do you also find that being able to give, in some way, makes you feel grateful, which is a wonderful feeling? Eckhart Tolle says that “Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” So, my first suggestion to win in 2021 is to practise gratitude.

As Dr Shayna Kaufmann shared in another of my interviews, from her global survey of 600+ women in midlife, our number one resource when we need support is each other – friendships and conversations with our fellow women. This has been true for me for many years, and tapping into this power is my second suggestion to win in 2021. The WomHub team are a shining example of this, in all the amazing work they do as a boutique incubator and co-working space for female founders in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing).

You can find out more in my interview with dynamic COO Anjani Harjeven, who shared that the gorgeous WomHub co-working space in Rivonia is open to all, with special focus on supporting women. They generously allowed us to use their space for a photo shoot I did for Donna Reid and Chantal Meugens, who won the photo shoot prize in my Visibility Challenge. They co-host a Podcast called Things That Matter, which we discussed in my interview with them about Design and Communication. So, they chose to have some photos together, which was fabulous fun!

That leads to my third suggestion for winning in 2021, which is to refresh your photo and video portfolio, so that you can revitalise your online platform and share your message with renewed vibrance. You’re welcome to contact me if you need any guidance. I’m here to help!
