Have you considered combining a personal branding photo and video shoot? This can be a fabulous and efficient way to update your visual portfolio, as beautiful Chris Stormer-Fryer demonstrates here! Being a globally renowned reflexology expert, visionary and author (affectionately known as the ‘Universal Foot Lady’) she was recently invited to close the Northern Ireland Reflexology Conference with a video from South Africa. We had the privilege and pleasure of shooting the video for her, in the gorgeous garden setting above.
This is at Chris’s home, which has expansive lawns that stretch down to a river. The outdoor African vibe was perfect for the purpose, despite a few disturbances from airplanes overhead, building noise from next door and a fly that landed on her nose! These were easily managed with temporary pauses, all of which Chris handled like a pro. When it comes to video, it’s always advisable to be open to the unexpected and willing to be flexible and to have fun!
While there, we also shot an intro video for Chris, to share insight and inspiration about the wonderful books and services that she offers. Below right is a photo taken in the video setting we used inside, together with a few more samples from her photo shoot. Chris took the opportunity to have her make-up done professionally for her photos and videos, and to change into different outfits that add vibrant variety, while saving costs and time in the process.
This resulted in a lovely portfolio, including plenty more pics that she can utilise for her website, online profiles and social media posts going forward. Visit Chris’s website www.alwaysb.com to discover a world of delight, featuring her 8 published books that delve deeply into the benefits of reflexology, and the magical African soul retreats and dolphin safaris that she offers.
