Do you consider yourself unphotogenic? If so, you’re far from alone! I lost count long ago of how many people have told me that, literally apologizing as they stepped in front of my camera. This includes gorgeous, successful, accomplished and otherwise profoundly confident people, who you would least expect to be camera shy.

Good News

The good news is that we can all shine on camera and have consistently stunning photos and videos to promote our companies or careers. This is totally possible for you too, and well within reach once you master a few key concepts. If you’ve followed my posts for a while, you’ll know that I share plenty of insight and ideas to help you with this, so stay tuned for more. In the meantime, here are some thoughts to help shift your paradigm:

Nervous is Normal

It’s perfectly natural to be nervous for a shoot, especially if you’ve had disappointing experiences in the past. Photo and video shoots are collaborative, creative processes, which means venturing into the unknown. This can be scary and exhilarating at the same time. It can also swing open the door for a quantum leap into your genius zone.

Time to Shine

This is a place of pure joy, success and fulfillment. If the thought of being in your genius zone lights you up, then the fastest way to get there is to have faith in your inner nudge and take action now. Trust me, it’s worth it. Remember, as professional photographers and videographers, we’re here to help you shine, and you can!

Imagine . . .

The benefits of overcoming camera shyness, and showing up fully in the world via personal branding photos and videos, are phenomenal and far reaching. Imagine for a moment how this can impact your life and/or business – and by all means share a comment below to let me know, or fire away if you have any questions. I’d love to connect with you.
